Bank+Vine is serving up a fresh and seasonal menu curated by Executive Chef Chad Gelso, focusing on a farm-to-table concept and showcasing produce at the peak of its season. Chef Chad has experience from all around the world and was a previous contestant on Hell’s Kitchen!
Chef Chad and his culinary team are serving up fresh dishes and producing all items in-house from house-made wheat sourdough bread, to curing fresh salmon gravlax for Sunday Brunch, all the way to curated desserts made fresh by our in-house pastry chef! Our bar manager is pressing all of our juices fresh in house and has created a cocktail and wine list that perfectly pairs with the dishes on the menu, too!
Located in one of downtown Wilkes-Barre’s historic buildings, Bank+Vine provides both an indoor and outdoor casual dining experience with plates meant to be shared around the table. Take a trip back to 1912 and visit the old South Side Bank while dining in ‘The Lobby’ with its 30-foot vaulted ceilings, dripping greenery, and socially distanced tables. Head upstairs to ‘The Annex’ which is the secluded private dining room overlooking the entire restaurant, perfect for gatherings of 10 people with a separate restroom.
Step through the wood and stained glass doors and into our bar and lounge section. With exposed brick walls and copper-plated ceiling tiles, grab a cocktail or two and interact with our beverage specialists! With cocktail tables surrounding the large wooden bar and a table large enough for 6 seated in front of the fireplace, this is the perfect area for a low key night sampling the menu and pairing drinks with each dish!
Looking for a more intimate seat? Follow the ramp down into ‘The Reserve’ passing a wall of assorted framed photos and exposed brick walls for additional seating in this side dining room. ‘The Reserve’ is also great for semi-private events for 25 people! With its own projector, sound system, and curtains to close off from the rest of the restaurant, this perfect spot is great for small weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate dinners, and pharmaceutical meetings!
Outdoor dining at Bank+Vine is another option either out on South Main Street or back in ‘The Garden’ where we can accommodate a limited number of guests each night. Sit underneath the wooden pergolas strung with market lights and dripping with vines, surrounded by hedge walls and a planter full of Chef Chad’s vegetables and plants that he grows to incorporate into his dishes.
