Five Courses with Chef Dee: Florida Inspired Dinner

We are bringing a little Florida flair to Bank + Vine with a special five-course dinner from Chef Dee on Thursday, April 16th. This is one of those nights where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a full dining experience. Each course is thoughtfully put together to include fresh ingredients and bold coastal flavors.

First Course: Coconut Crab Bisque

The evening starts with a coconut crab bisque that feels rich, creamy, and comforting. Chef Dee tops it with toasted coconut and pineapple to add a hint of sweetness that keeps the dish balanced and gives it that tropical touch without being overpowering.

Second Course: Gator Bites

Next up are gator bites, a true Florida classic. They are marinated in buttermilk, lightly breaded, and fried until crispy. They are then served with a southern spiced remoulade that adds just the right kick. This course is perfect whether you have had gator before or you are trying it for the first time.

Third Course: Short Rib Street Taco

For the third course, you will dig into a short rib street taco packed with tender, slow-cooked beef. Chef Dee tops it with pickled onion, fresh cilantro, shredded cheddar, and chimichurri, giving you a mix of savory and tangy.

Fourth Course: Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna

The fourth course brings a lighter, coastal feel with sesame-crusted ahi tuna. She sears the tuna, pairs it with a citrus soy reduction, and finishes it with mango napa slaw and cilantro lime rice. The combination brings a great balance to the richer courses earlier in the night. You can substitute blackened chicken for the ahi tuna.

Fifth Course: Key Lime Pie

Finally, we are serving key lime pie topped with raspberry sauce and vanilla bean whipped cream. It is smooth, tangy, and just sweet enough. This course is the perfect way to end the evening.
